If you spend a lot of time running your business on your iPhone, chances are you’re sending proposals, calling clients, sending payment reminders, or doing all three at the same time. While we’ve packed our back–office apps (Zoho Books, Zoho Invoice and Zoho Expense) with powerful features, here’s a rundown of all the recent iOS updates that you shouldn’t miss out on.
1. Get expense reports approved through iMessage.
Approving expense reports just got a lot easier. With the iOS 10 update, your employees can now submit their expense reports through iMessage and you can approve or reject the report right from the iMessage app on your iPhone.
2. Share files fast, get paid faster.
Emailing invoices to clients isn’t the fastest way to bill clients anymore. Now, you can send invoices, estimates, and customer statements via iMessage and immediately see that they’ve been delivered. Customers can also pay you right away by clicking payment links right inside their iMessages for easier, faster billing.
3. Find contacts faster with Spotlight.
Looking for your clients’ details entered in the app or need to call them urgently? Just type in their name in Spotlight Search to call them, or click on the name to view the contact details section in the app.
4. Keep important things in mind with Siri reminders.
Have an outstanding invoice or bills that are due? Let Siri notify you about pending payments, as well as keep track of transactions that need your attention later, so you never miss another billing due date again.
5. Take shortcuts with 3D Touch.
The 3D Touch feature in Zoho finance apps lets you create transactions, record expenses, and track project time in a flash. Peek at specific transactions so you can take appropriate actions right away. If you just need to log a few project hours or track mileage on the fly, you can use the widget to quickly add these details without launching the app.
6. Record more miles with less effort.
Recording mileage for expense reimbursements or tax claims just got a lot easier. With our built-in GPS tracker and Apple Maps in our finance apps, track your mileage as you travel and record mileage expenses on the go.
7. Track time and mileage from your Apple Watch.
Taking your work on the go is much more convenient with the Apple Watch. You can track time and mileage with just a few taps, as well as receive notifications when you get paid. Want to add a note? Simply scribble away.
8. Convert receipt images into expense records.
With the Share Extension, turn receipts into expenses in a single click. Share receipt images from your Photos app or iCloud to Zoho Expense to instantly create expense records.
9. Become a pro at multitasking.
If you’re an ardent iPad user, we’ve got some good news for you: you don’t have to switch between apps anymore. Zoho Books and Zoho Invoice now support multitasking features like Split View and Slide Over, so you can jump into one app without closing the other.
10. Protect your data. Always.
Data theft is on the rise, so you should take extra precautions when accessing financial information about your business on your iPhone. Enable the Touch ID authentication for all of your Zoho finance apps and protect your data from prying eyes.
We hope that you enjoy the new features! Give them a try and share your feedback with us in the comments below.
